Why QuestMe

Most maths apps show you a score.
We show you something more useful.

The hard part of helping a child with maths isn't the maths — it's knowing where they're actually stuck, and whether they're guessing or genuinely getting it.

Most apps
Show you 7/10 — but not which 7
Can't tell if they guessed correctly
Same questions on repeat
Generic content, not NSW curriculum
Wrong answers without explanation
QuestMe
Shows exactly which questions to revisit
Tracks confidence — know vs guess
Large bank — fresh questions daily
NSW K-10 syllabus, right year level
Every wrong answer explained, clearly
How it works

Three steps. Fifteen minutes. Real insight.

1 🗂️

Pick a topic & year level

Year 4, 5 or 6 — and any of the 13 topics from the NSW curriculum. Today fractions. Tomorrow multiplication. Whatever's most useful right now.

2 🤔

Know it or not sure?

Before seeing the options, your child says whether they know it or are not sure. This one step reveals whether confidence matches ability — the thing no score can tell you.

3 📋

A summary worth reading

After the session: what went wrong, what they weren't sure about, and a "Worth a look" list — the questions to revisit with a parent. Honest, specific, useful.

NSW Curriculum Aligned

Every question belongs to the right year. No more, no less.

We read the NSW Mathematics K-10 Syllabus so you don't have to. Every question in QuestMe is mapped to the correct Stage and Year — so Year 4 never gets a Year 6 question by mistake, and Year 6 isn't wasting time on Year 3 content.

Year 4
Stage 2B focus: 4-digit numbers, multiplication tables to 10×10, equivalent fractions, grid maps, comparing angles. Factors are Year 5 — not placed here early.
Year 5
Stage 3A focus: Multi-digit multiplication, decimals to 3 places, Cartesian coordinates, 24-hour time, factors and prime numbers, probability as fractions.
Year 6
Stage 3B focus: Order of operations (BODMAS), triangle and parallelogram area, negative integers, percentage of quantity, compound time problems, all four quadrants.

The story behind it

Danica gets 8 out of 10.
We still don't know if she understands.

“I think I got it right… but I'm actually not sure why it’s right.”

— Danica, Year 4

Danica is curious, enthusiastic, and has great instincts. She also has a superpower for pattern-matching her way through maths without really understanding what's happening underneath. She can get 8/10 on fractions and still not be able to explain what a fraction means.

As her parents, we'd sit with her after school and ask "how was maths today?" She'd say "fine." We'd check her workbook — ticks everywhere. And yet we had this nagging feeling that something wasn't quite sticking. The score didn't tell us what we actually needed to know.

QuestMe started as a tool for Danica — something she could do in 15 minutes that would tell us (and her) not just whether she got it right, but whether she knew she got it right. That one extra question — "are you sure, or are you guessing?" — turned out to be the most useful thing.

If you have a Danica at home — bright, capable, hard to read — this was made for you.

What parents and kids are saying

"I finally know where she's getting stuck — not just that she got six out of ten. That's all I ever wanted."
Sarah · Mum of a Year 5 studentInner West
"He asks to do it himself now. Asks. We've never had that with any maths app."
Michael · Dad of a Year 4 studentNorth Shore
"The parent summary at the end is the part I didn't know I needed. I check it every single session now."
Jennifer · Mum of Year 6 twinsParramatta
"I like that you have to say if you're guessing. Sometimes I guessed and got it right and it still said I should properly learn it. That's fair."
Zoe, Year 5Student
